» Beshte.com has released MODULE ONE of BETA version 3.0.The site has undergone some major changes as follows. Please note that the dates indicate the release of the various modules of the BETA version.
The site platform has been upgraded. The site is now running on the latest technology (PHP 5.1, JQuery and AJAX) for faster responses and a better surfing experience.
The site now has a chat. Beshte CHAT is an installed version of Ajax IM which allows real time web IM services. You need to login independently to keep yourself logged into the chat. This allows you to stay online or offline independent of other site areas.
The login has been upgraded to include cookies. Cookies allow the site to remember previous logins and login you in automatically. You have to check the remember me check box for the cookies to be set. We do not recommend activation of this feature if on a shared machine.
All users now have a private inbox. The inbox features standard mail features.
The home page for registered users has been drastically changed to allow users to participate in all active segments on the home page without having to navigate away from the home page. This makes it easier to post comments on forums and other related pages.
The site now has an INVITE YOUR FRIENDS section which allows you to open your Yahoo, GMail or Hotmail address books to import addresses for your friends.
The image extension limitation in the older site (the site only accepted JPEG images) has been solved. The new site now accepts GIF, JPG and PNG images. We are working on BMP extensions to be added to later releases/upgrades.
There is a quick links panel to allow you to post new stuff on the site from the home page. There are also notifications ON THE SITE whenever anyone posts anything after your post in the site. The notofications are still in test phase and upgrades will be included soon.
The home page for non-registered users has been shortened to encourage non-registered users to register. All users can however still access all links on the top link bar without having to register or login.
